About the Site
Basic Info:

The idea for this site was hatched during an IM conversation between us (Sam and Hider) on Dec 27th, 2005 and less than twenty-four hours later, the site was up. At first it was hosted on Hider's old domain, cracked-sidewalks.net, but was quickly moved to it's own domain after it grew to big to host. In June of 2006, we had problems with our host and server and thanks to stupid Hider (who didn't back anything up) we had to completely rebuild the site and look for a new host. Thankfully, Brianne was kind enough to offer us hosting until we could save up for our own. A couple months later we did move the site to its own space, and opened the media site to solve bandwidth/space problems.

A couple months after that, we moved to host the site with DreamHost and it's been a dream ever since. We even had enough bandwidth and space left over that we closed down bp-media.net and started hosting everything right here.

The Name:

I don't need a photograph, because you've never left my mind...

We argued over this for almost an hour before finally coming to a decision over a name for the site. And after much consideration, a few harsh remarks exchanged between the two of us, and way too many side conversations, we came up with Blurred Photographs. The inspiration came from the concept that Rory has never really forgotten Jess, and he's never really forgotten her, but they've both lived separate lives since their break up. Mental images have blurred and photographs and memories aren't visited as often as they once were. They're still very much there; they're just a little less prominent now.

The Webmasters:

The site is owned and run by Hider and Sam and always will be. However, amazing people like Brianne and Lena have made huge contributions that have turned this site into what is today, and for that we will forever be in their debt.
